Your Role at KIK
The Industrial Hygienist reports to the Director of Chemical Management and Emergency Response. In this role, you are responsible for conducting comprehensive industrial hygiene surveys and assessments to identify, evaluate, and control workplace hazards that may affect employee health and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, industrial hygiene principles, and risk assessment methodologies.
What You’ll Be Doing
Conduct industrial hygiene surveys and assessments, including but not limited to: Noise assessments Air quality assessments (e.g., dust, fumes, vapors, gases) Chemical Hazard Evaluations Soil samples or water samples Industrial hygiene monitoring (e.g., sampling, measurements) Develop and implement control measures to mitigate identified hazards, such as: Engineering controls (e.g., ventilation, isolation, substitution) Administrative controls (e.g., work practices, procedures, training) Personal protective equipment (PPE) selection and fit testing Maintain accurate records of all surveys, assessments, monitoring data, and control measures implemented Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations Conduct training programs for employees on workplace hazards and safety precautions Advise management on occupational health and safety issues and regulatory compliance Stay current on relevant occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses Assist in the development and implementation of EHS programs and policies Travel Requirements: 50-75%
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification preferred 4 or more years of experience in industrial hygiene Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, NIOSH, EPA) Proficient in the use of industrial hygiene instrumentation and sampling techniques Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal) Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. This position has a base salary range of $95,000 – 105,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
