**Overview** Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a **Senior Industrial Hygienist III (Grade 69) or Principal Industrial Hygienist (Grade 70)** to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS). **Apply online using a current resume under the careers section of Savannah River Misson Completion (SRMC) (http://www.savannahrivermissioncompletion.com)** The **Senior Industrial Hygienist III (Grade 69) or Principal Industrial Hygienist (Grade 70)** recognizes, evaluates, eliminates and controls occupational and environmental factors or stresses arising from the workplace or facility that may cause sickness, impaired health or well-being, or significant discomfort and inefficiency among workers or citizens of the community. **Responsibilities** **Responsibilities for a Senior Industrial Hygienist III (Grade 69) or Principal Industrial Hygienist (Grade 70):** + Incorporates conventional and advanced IH practices for the company or multiple programmatic area(s) + Applies IH activities such as integrating or complying with complicated technical requirements or application of new or special materials or processes. Provides IH consultation for challenging coordination or oversight requirements requiring problem solving and programmatic planning where only general objectives are given + Educates employees and management on practices, precautions, and procedures + Provides comprehensive IH support to the facilities such as monitoring programs, procedures, Assisted Hazards Analysis (AHA) and work package reviews + Takes substantive role in compliance with technical and regulatory requirements + Performs advanced predictive assessments of work exposures. Designs and conducts comprehensive exposure monitoring strategies for complex to highly complex issues + Provides briefings on hazardous chemicals and performs on-the-job and job performance measurement (OJT/JPM) training + Serves as subject matter expert for advanced IH disciplines as required by 10 CFR 851, OSHA, ACGIH, EPA and state programs + Communicates results and objectives both verbally and in written form to customers, colleagues, and management + Enhances expertise through participation in technical societies.
