Job Description

Onin Staffing is accepting applications and scheduling interviews for a Maintenance Generalist for a local company in Meridian!

Great work schedule, Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., can vary slightly if issues arise.

Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

*Performing Preventative Maintenance - Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment, building structure and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and avoid breakdowns

*Repairing Equipment - Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and carpentry issues and perform necessary repairs on machinery, equipment and building.

*Installing New Equipment - Assist in the installation of new machinery, including electrical wiring, piping, and other necessary components.

*Troubleshooting Machinery - Identify and troubleshoot issues with machinery and equipment, determining the most effective solutions to maintain operational efficiency.

*Maintaining Safety Compliance - Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a safe working environment by following proper safety protocols.

*Emergency Response - Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.

Work Experience

The preferred candidate might:

Required minimum of 4 years of experience in plant maintenance or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.Proficiency with hand and power toolsAble to safely operate a forklift.Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshootingAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, work orders and automated systemsKnowledge of motors and motor control methodsReliable and punctual with an attention to detail.Working computer knowledge, specifically with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint)

Physical Demands:

The ability to routinely lift and move up to 60 pounds is required.Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periodsAbility to work in various environments, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
