Industrial Maintenance Electrical and Instrumentation Technician III (39530)

Clariant is currently looking for an Industrial Maintenance Electrical and Instrumentation Technician III to support the Care Chemicals business unit in Clear Lake, TX. This position is responsible for performing advanced maintenance and troubleshooting tasks for electrical and instrumentation systems in a chemical manufacturing environment. The role requires a high level of technical expertise, safety awareness, and the ability to communicate effectively within a dynamic production setting. This is a full time, onsite opportunity. Responsibilities

•    Interpret and work from complex instrumentation drawings, including P&IDs, loop sheets, and isometric diagrams
•    Install, calibrate, and maintain a wide range of measurement devices for flow, pressure, level, and temperature
•    Perform advanced electrical testing and troubleshooting using specialized equipment, such as data recording devices and field communicators
•    Work with hazardous location equipment, ensuring proper installation and maintenance according to safety standards
•    Inspect and maintain grounding systems to ensure safety and compliance
•    Perform advanced conduit and tubing installations, including complex bends and layouts
•    Troubleshoot and maintain valves and actuators, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
•    Record all maintenance activities in SAP to ensure accurate documentation and compliance
 


 

Requirements

•    High school diploma required; NCCER certifications preferred
•    Minimum of 5 years in a chemical manufacturing environment performing equipment maintenance
•    Exposure to SAP for recording maintenance activities
•    Successful completion of the NCCER Level III Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Technician Assessment
•    Comprehensive technical knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems
•    Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety standards
•    Effective communication and professional behavior in a team-oriented environment
