Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (38808)

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. This position will support our Catalyst Business Unit in Louisville, KY at our West plant.


Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, erect, construct, and/or replace plant equipment such as forming machines, platforms, dryers, mixers, tanks, vessels, piping, pumps, motors, belts, etc. and perform routine maintenance work as needed Read, understand, and interpret diagrams, blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and other written instructions Occasionally assist, trains, and guides less experienced employees in specific skills and/or duties Develop materials list, this includes tools, equipment, parts, etc. for projects Perform detailed measurements utilizing various measurement devices; i.e. tape, transit, calipers, dial indicators, micrometer, depth gauge, etc. Perform field-routing of piping and perform pipefitting; i.e. thread piping & weld piping Perform welding and cutting utilizing various types of welding and cutting equipment; i.e. MIG, TIG, rod, arc, wet saw, band saw, flicker saw, hacksaw, circular saw, acetylene/oxygen torch, plasma-torch, etc. Utilize heavy lifting equipment, i.e. crane and/or a fork truck to off load equipment and supplies from delivery vehicles Utilize heavy lifting equipment, i.e. crane and/or fork truck to set equipment, piping, platforms, materials, etc. into place – from ground level to multi-story placement Utilize the following Mobile Heavy Equipment Cranes, Fork Trucks, Snorkel Lifts, Scissor Lifts, Bobcat, etc. Utilize the following Power Tools: Band Saw, Power Drill, Grinders, Mag Drill, Hilti Drill, Drill Press, Hydraulic Press, Pipe Threading Machine, Lathe, etc.
 

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Post-secondary trade school or technical college education is a plus. A minimum of two years experience in industrial maintenance required.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Outlook, and SAP work order system, or a comparable computer system.  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.  Strong team player with a focus on safety.  Opportunities for career growth.
