Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic installs, maintains, repairs, dismantles, overhauls, reassembles, adjusts and tests various types of plant machinery, equipment structures and electrical or electronic equipment.    

The Maintenance Mechanic will:

Weld, braze, scrape, solder and cut various types of metals necessary for maintenance repairs and fabrication of new components and equipmentPerform a variety of trade functions such as plumber, mason, carpenter and metal worker, etc. in performance dutiesConstruct rigging and scaffoldingMove heavy machinery and equipmentLubricate, grease, and oil plant machinery and equipment

The Maintenance Mechanic should have:

Experience installing, maintain and troubleshooting various types of machineryExperience with 480v motors and controlsExperience reading blue-prints, wiring diagrams, shop hand-books and layouts

Qualifications4 years of relevant work experience OR 2 year technical degreeJourneyman cardholder preferredHigh School degree or GEDBasic PC literacy (Word, email, basic data entry)Able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis
