Position Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic helps to ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment as well as maintain plant facilities as needed.  Will also assemble, repair, and fabricate parts by operating various machinist equipment.

 

Pay Range: $28.00- $30.00 / hour 

 

Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties 

Complies and follows all OSHA and NARSTCO safety standards and regulations Performs all maintenance, repair, service and troubleshooting of all industrial equipment and buildings within his/her capabilities and under the direction of the Maintenance Manager Perform preventive maintenance requirements as scheduled following technical drawings and documentation to include diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications Help maintain parts and supply inventory levels by using min/max inventory levels and anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies Operates forklift Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, establishing personal networks Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations and housekeeping standards Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed To exercise the utmost degree of integrity, honesty, good faith and fidelity to the Company, in dealing with the Company and with its customers, employees, suppliers and other public entities Provide other reasonable services as the Company may request from time to time

 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications  

High School diploma or GED Associates or Vocational degree preferred. CIMM (Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic) preferred. Welding (certification) preferred. 3-5 years of work experience in Industrial Machinery Maintenance and Repair Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical and Pneumatic troubleshooting and repair experience required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions 

Exposure to loud noises, machines, fumes, heat/cold, sparks, metal dust and industrial moving parts in the plant facility Frequently stands, walks, climbs, balances, lifts, bends, and moves objects up to 50 pounds Exposed to all weather conditions including very hot and very cold weather
