Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Industrial Maintenance Technician serves as a subject matter expert and member of the production team reporting directly to the Plant Manager as it relates to the maintenance of the industrial equipment essential to produce the product. The employee is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and preventive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of business goals. This role involves assisting in the daily operation and direction of the maintenance function including setting priorities and troubleshooting problems that could cause production schedule failures. The technician will act as a lead on designated activities and interface with operators and external contacts to accomplish organizational goals and objectives.

ResponsibilitiesPerform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.Follow safety, predictive, and preventive maintenance systems and processes.Support the achievement of business goals through effective maintenance practices.Assist in daily operations and direction of the maintenance function.Set priorities and troubleshoot problems that could cause production schedule failures.Act as a lead on designated activities and interface with operators and external contacts.Essential SkillsExperience working as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial maintenance manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance techniques.3+ years of manufacturing experience.Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills.Some PLC experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.Maintenance Journeyman’s Card or equivalent certification.Supervisory, team leadership, or experience that enables accepting a leadership role to advise the Plant Manager.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a distribution center, primarily on the 2nd shift (3 pm-1 am, Monday-Friday) with occasional early shifts on Fridays. Initial training will be on the 1st shift, lasting from three weeks up to three months depending on learning speed. The role involves working independently after the training period.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buda, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
