Job Function:
Maintain, install, and perform general maintenance duties to all physical equipment used throughout the factory.

Electrician’s, mechanic’s, plumber’s, and carpenter’s hand tools. Cutting torch. Ammeter. Oscilloscope. Special single line tools. Polariscope. Ladders. Scaffolds. Rolls. Hoists. Bars. Electric drills. Pipe benders. Saw. Hammer. Drill press. Power saw. Grinder. Table saw. Arc or TIG welder. Electrical test equipment, lathes. Hammer drills. Sawzalls.
Education:
Prefers successful completion of an apprenticeship program and holds a Journeyman card but will consider extensive verifiable experience.
Working Procedure:
General electric installation, repair and troubleshooting, general mechanical repair and installation, fabrication and welding, pneumatic repair and troubleshooting. Electronic troubleshooting and repair to include circuit reading and testing, operation of testers and multimeters. Instrument repair and troubleshooting including cylinders, motors, pumps, filters, etc. Perform hydraulic troubleshooting including cylinders, motors, pumps, filters, etc. Perform general carpentry and painting. Perform general plumbing, piping, and mechanical installation, and repair. Perform compressor repair including centrifugal, screw and reciprocal, controls, aftercoolers, air dryers; troubleshoot and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Read mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical prints and troubleshoot problems using them. Troubleshoot and repair all inspection equipment, conveyors, computer systems, and programmable controllers, performs general housekeeping miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
Environmental Conditions:
Must be prepared to work inside or outside as necessary for maintain, service, or repair all plant process problems. Exposures to dusts of batch materials, glass coating chemicals, welding fumes. Temperatures: heat from furnace and glass forming processes; seasonal variations.About Ardagh Group
