Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Industrial Maintenance Technician serves as a subject matter expert and member of the production team, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. This role involves the maintenance of industrial equipment essential to product production. The employee will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and preventive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of business goals. The technician will assist in daily operations, setting priorities, troubleshooting problems that could cause production schedule failures, and acting as a lead on designated activities. They will interface with operators and external contacts to accomplish organizational goals and objectives.

ResponsibilitiesPerform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.Assist in daily operations and direction of the maintenance function, including setting priorities.Troubleshoot problems that could cause production schedule failures.Act as a lead on designated activities and interface with operators and external contacts.Support safety, predictive, and preventive maintenance systems and processes.Essential SkillsExperience working as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial maintenance manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance techniques.3+ years of manufacturing experience with strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills.Some PLC experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.Maintenance Journeyman’s Card or equivalent certification.Supervisory or team leadership experience, enabling a leadership role to advise the Plant Manager.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The position is located in a distribution center where the technician will work independently. This is a 2nd shift opportunity with hours approximately from 2 PM to midnight, Monday-Thursday, and some day shift hours on Friday (approximately 10 AM to 2 or 3 PM). Training will start on the first shift and will last for at least 3 weeks, potentially extending up to three months, depending on the individual's learning pace. Training will be provided by a former contractor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buda, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00
