Industrial Maintenance Technician

Description

Job Summary: As an Industrial Maintenance Technician you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing complex equipment, ensuring seamless production processes. You will be responsible for the upkeep and proper functioning of our machinery and equipment, observing mechanical devices in operation, diagnosing malfunctions, and determining needs for adjustments, repairs, or replacement.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair shop machinery and/or mechanical equipment.Observe mechanical devices in operation to diagnose malfunctions.Study blueprints, sketches, and machine parts specifications.Dismantle machinery to access and remove defective parts.Inspect used parts for dimensional changes.Adjust functional parts or devices and control instruments.Repair or replace defective parts.Install special functional and structural parts in devices.Test machinery after assembly to verify correction of malfunction.Coordinate with the manager and assist with timely preventative maintenance and predictive parts replacement.Operate drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools.Initiate purchase orders for parts, repairs, and replacement equipment.Monitor paper recycling operations.Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA and EPA federal and state rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years of experience in a heavy industrial environment.Strong work ethic and practice safe working habits.Specific knowledge of hydraulics is a plus.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machine parts specifications.Proficiency in operating metalworking tools such as drill press and grinder.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to work under stressful circumstances and flexibility with working hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
