JOB DETAILS 

Base pay starts at $30-40 per hour plus $1 per hour shift differential

2nd Shift 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLEIES

The Maintenance Technician II specializes in Electrical and Mechanical systems. Responsibilities include safely troubleshooting, repairing, installing, maintaining and improving production and facility equipment (electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic) to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipmentPerform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructionsPerform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustmentsRepair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating conditionIntermediate understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistanceDiagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.Intermediate understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drivesTroubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues foundComplete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machinesMaintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other componentsEnter all work completed in computer-based maintenance programMonitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order formsOther duties / responsibilities as needed Qualifications Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitudeStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong work ethic, organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and within a teamMust be able to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environmentMust be flexible with shift schedules and on call requirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistAbility to stand for up to 12 hours per day, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climbAbility to operate a fork truck, articulating lift, scissor lift and manipulate tools and/or controlsAbility to work in varying temperatures, up to 110 degreesHigh school diploma or equivalent required2-year technical school degree desiredMinimum 4 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentUsage of maintenance PM systemStrong usage / knowledge of computer Additional information
