Base Pay: $25 - $35 per hour
1st Shift: 5am-5pm
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, maintain, improve and repair equipment, plant, services and building installations to set levels effectively in compliance with best practices ensuring production efficiency can be met within a safe well-presented facilityRespond to technical issues affecting production and maintain electrical and mechanical services through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PM)Responsible for multiple highly complex major projects requiring innovative original solutions where results are key to successful completion of major projectsAttend breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve, with minimal downtime to productionCarry out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance and repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner and return equipment to operational serviceEstimate length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescalesIdentify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damageReport breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to managementEnsure all work is undertaken to a high quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulationsEnsure company targets are met in respect of quality of parts producedIdentify spares requirements and log usageAssist in the development of planned preventative maintenance (PM) schedulesCarry out PM schedules as necessary and planned work orders as required and provide feedback to develop the systemAssist with the moving, installation, repositioning of machines and equipmentMake full use of the computerized maintenance management systemPlan and prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working timeFill in job tickets/log completion of work on the computerized maintenance management systemOperate man lift, fork and other lifting equipmentWork within 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain workplace to a high standardEnsure all personal protective equipment is identified, always available, correctly used and all associated problems are reported to managementEnsure all lost time, minor and trivial accidents are reportedPromote environmental issues and ensure all company procedures are understood and followedEnsure a safe working environment exists for self and colleagues, ensuring all health, safety environmental and quality management procedures are followed and achieve the company’s and departmental KPI targetsKeep up with current and developing manufacturing and engineering trends regarding maintenanceUndertake special projects as requiredQuality control of work by appropriate reviewsPlan projects or subtasks so they may be tracked and presentedAchieve goals within budgetUndertake continuous training and developmentPerform root cause analysis and resolve problemsIndependently determine approach and assigned tasksTrain and mentor apprentices and less experienced techniciansProvide assistance to less experienced technicians and apprenticesSupport training needs of the department and provide expertise to apprentices and trainees Qualifications High School Diploma or GEDMechatronics Certificate or degreeWe can assist with achieving this goal ( apprenticeship available) 1 year of Welding and Fabricating experience2 years of Electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair experience1 year of Plumbing experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to exercise substantial initiative and judgment in work methods and interpreting goalsExcellent organizational skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to manage a wide variety of activities at the same timeAble to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with many stakeholdersAble to identify the root cause of any losses Additional informationSite Address: 433 N.
