The Industrial Mechanic Millwright is responsible for supporting all functions and departments in the Distribution Centre by ensuring smooth and safe operation of all equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

Follow all company and work safety policies andFollow all mechanical and electrical work instructions and proceduresRead mechanical drawings for conveyors, machines and buildingCarry on preventative maintenance and repair for conveyors and packaging machinesInspect and maintain dock doors, Racks and building equipmentOrder mechanical parts from Suppliers and monitor parts inventoryHave basic computer skills to access emails, windows office and PM programHave basic electrical skills and knowledgePlan and implement projects to improve the operation of the conveyor systemTrain maintenance technicians to improve their mechanical skillsWork with service contractors to maintain building and production equipmentOperate man lift machines and power machinesResponsible for coordinating the daily workflow within the maintenance group, including providing guidance/support to other members of the MaintenanceRepair, maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systemsParticipates in analytical problem solving and can make decisions relating to each problem encounteredWork with contractors to install new conveyors and equipmentBasic troubleshooting of sprinkler and fire alarm systemsWelding and fabrication as requiredMaintain service standards and complete work orders in a timely mannerDocumented standards and procedures are always adhered toFlexible to work overtime and weekends as required

Education and Experience:

Government Certificate of Qualification as Industrial Mechanic Millwright 433A3-5 years of experience in an automated distribution environmentBasic PLC troubleshooting experienceStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong team player skills and support the maintenance team
