Job DescriptionEnsure health & safety (SST) compliance by monitoring rule enforcement and assessing employees' needs for personal protective equipment.Train and coach team members in daily tasks.Fill in for team members when necessary.Oversee the onboarding of new employees.Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the work environment.Participate in annual evaluations, probation reviews, and disciplinary actions for team members.Communicate performance indicators to the team.Complete production reports at the end of each shift.Ensure employees' working hours are correctly entered into Maximo and OpenERP

QualificationsEducation & Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent, technical training in industrial mechanics or related field (asset), industrial mechanic certification (preferred), valid driver’s license, and personal transportation required in some cases.Professional Experience: Over 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or mechanical work in an industrial setting, with proven experience in team management or maintenance operations supervision.Technical Skills: Expertise in industrial mechanics, hydraulic systems, engines, conveyors, pumps, welding, and electrical systems; ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and lead a team of mechanics, ensure preventive maintenance, and meet deadlines and priorities.Safety Knowledge: Strong commitment to workplace safety, with the ability to enforce and uphold safety protocols.Personal Qualities: Organizational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, time management, teamwork spirit, and excellent communication skills in French and/or English.
