The Kelly Group is seeking an Industrial Metal Fabricator for its Marion, Arkansas, facility. Candidates should have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in the layout and fabrication of sheet metal and structural steel.\n
This position requires the ability to perform these essential duties:\n\nSafely and accurately lay out and fabricate straight lengths of ductwork, cones, elbows, tapers and miscellaneous parts utilizing a bending roll\nSafely and accurately lay out and fabricate square and rectangular spouting, square to rounds, tapers, offset fittings and various parts utilizing a press brake\nSafely and accurately measure and cut various sheet metals utilizing a sheet metal shear\nSafe operation of an ironworker machine to punch, shear and cut\nSafe operation of a drill press, punch press, hand grinder and other tools of the trade\nReading and understanding of blueprints\/drawings, and developing a cut list and\/or material list accordingly\n\n
Other preferred qualifications sought include:\n\nExperience fabricating structural steel, stairs, platforms and handrail\nAbility to layout and cut sheet metal on a high-definition plasma table\nAbility to tack weld and\/or final weld all fabrications utilizing SMAW, MIG and GTAW of mild steel and stainless steel\nThorough understanding of techniques to set up welding machines and gases\nAbility to square up and weld various geometries and components\nAbility to perform vertical and horizontal welding\nUnderstanding of various weld form symbols on blueprints\nAbility to safely rig material and utilize overhead cranes\nBasic computer skills, including Excel and Word\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD\n\n
