Job Title: Industrial Painter
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning and preparing surfaces for painting, preparing paint for application, and operating hand-held spray guns and portable powder coat equipment. You will apply primer and other coatings as per paint specifications and blueprints and must be capable of disassembling and re-assembling paint equipment for cleaning.

ResponsibilitiesClean and prepare surfaces for painting.Prepare paint for application.Operate hand-held spray guns to apply various types of paint.Operate portable powder coat equipment.Apply primer and other coatings per paint specifications and blueprints.Disassemble and re-assemble paint equipment for cleaning.Sanding and polishing.Metal preparation.Read and understand paint specifications and blueprints.Essential SkillsExperience in painting, especially in industrial settings.Proficiency in using hand-held spray guns and portable powder coat equipment.Ability to read and understand blueprints.Knowledge of primer application and other coating techniques.Skill in assembling and disassembling paint equipment for cleaning.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, twisting, and climbing ladders.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferably two (2) years of experience as an industrial painter.Knowledge of painting methods is preferred.Must wear proper protective equipment as required.Commitment to supporting the Quality System.Adherence to company and OSHA safety guidelines.Why Work Here?

The facility is clean and well organized. The shop provides a safe and efficient environment with the proper protective equipment required for all tasks. The work involves frequent physical activities including lifting, bending, stooping, twisting, and climbing ladders.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bay City, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
