Production Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget. The work model for the role is #LI- Onsite.This role is contributing to Our Electrification Business in Bengaluru, India.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tManufacturing feasibility study of the new product with the detailed analysis of DFA (Design for assembly) methodology collaborating with Cross functional team.•\tInfluence the project by designing assembly processes and flows simultaneously with new product development.•\tOptimize the industrial performance by promoting digitalization, late differentiation of products and maximum re-use & standardization.•\tDrive our processes to a high standard of Energy Efficiency & low CO2 extended footprint and incorporate environmental Best Available Techniques (BAT)•\tDevelop assembly process line architecture with LADM (Line architecture Design Methodology) in alignment with Lean manufacturing approach.
Qualifications for the role\t Engineering Graduate (B.E / B.Tech) in Mechanical / Industrial /Production Engineering\t5 to 10 Years of relevant experience.\tAssembly process, Manufacturing Engineering, SPM, Special purpose machines, Assembly lines, Lean manufacturing, MTM, Methods Time measurement, VSM, Fully automatic machine development.\tAble to work simultaneously on multiple projects.\tThe engineer must travel / visit Suppliers in Bengaluru & suppliers in India, for technical discussions, trials, qualification, support wherever necessary.
