MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To attend to site based emergency calls and provide medical care in line with scope of practice.

Appointment for this position is subject to successful completion of physical fitness and medical assessment

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS To ensure operational readiness for emergency calls To administer patient care in line with the scope of practice To provide professional emergency services to site-based clients To provide basic shift administration services REQUIRED EDUCATION

ALS Qualification (CCA, Ndip, Btech)

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Demonstrate sound knowledge of the EMS environment Demonstrate thorough knowledge of HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice Demonstrate thorough knowledge and application of best practice Demonstrate thorough working knowledge of facilities, travel routes and demographical area Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of Patient Report Forms Demonstrate the ability to complete Patient Report Forms comprehensively Demonstrate a thorough understanding of relevant legislation Demonstrate sound proficiency in the English language (written and verbal) Demonstrate knowledge regarding specific client rules and regulations
