Industrial & Systems Engineer II - DC Capabilities

The Industrial Systems Engineer II supports moderate scale companywide initiatives and network wide projects for McLane related to cost reduction and productivity improvements. Plan, organize, implement, and manage capital and process improvement initiatives within the facility, region or network and act as a subject matter expert for DC Operations. Perform operational and transportation analysis, continuous process improvements, warehouse management system configuration as well as facility and capacity planning. Conduct design, configure, test warehouse management system and train teammates on new workflows.

The pay range for this position is $95,000 to $104,000 based on qualifications and experience. This role is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan with a target incentive of 10% of your base annual salary. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Create and Manage Project Scheduling with internal and external project teams.Coordinates cross team dependencies and collaborates between various groups to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on a daily basis.Communicate and coordinate directly with Operations, assuring all project work is performed in a timelymanner, with minimal disruption to product movements.Participates in project meetings throughout the project lifecycle. Makes recommendations about thedeployment in production of a project and ensure the new system is ready to be deployed.Develop and implement improved Standard Operating Procedures with Corporate Engineering.Partner with division operations to reinforce consistent process execution and identify opportunities forprocess improvement.Assess and optimize processes and equipment within the facility and region to support business needs.Implement and support McLane's warehouse and slotting optimization systems.Report and engage senior operational and engineering leaders and stakeholders to gain alignment onimplementation plans and success metrics.Manage large scale material handling projects from conception through startup to ensure on time, underbudget and performance objective results are met.Develop efficient layouts, workstations, and material handling systems for new and existing facilities.Maintain current and accurate documentation of systems.Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering preferred, other applicable degrees with accompanying experience will be considered. 4 or more years' experience as a regional or on-site industrial engineer required. Experience with Manhattan WMOS and LMS or JDA/Red Prairie WMS. Experience within distribution facility layout, racking layout and design required. Understanding of distribution center operations to include receiving, selection, replenishment, routing and dispatch. Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to advocate for and present recommendations to senior leadership. Ability to function in a fast-paced office and warehouse environment in a professional manner. Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Project. Experience with Statistical Analysis and Operations Research required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Remote, Office, and Warehouse environment.This position is expected to travel up to 75%.
