Industrial & Systems Engineer II - DC Network - Modeling - Remote

Support mid-to-large scale distribution center initiatives with a strong emphasis on collecting/utilizing site specific operational data to develop slotting plans, flow paths and layouts that maximize operational efficiency within the facility, region, or network. Support supply chain management/engineering projects across the distribution center network as needed. Partner with extended DC support team to conduct operational and financial analysis within the distribution center network. Support facility and system wide capacity planning as well as facilitate program rollouts to include training of teammates for new workflows and processes.

COMPENSATION:

The pay range for this position is $90,000 to $95,000 based on qualifications and experience. This role is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan with a target incentive of 12.5% of your base annual salary.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to:

Create and manage network strategy lead to develop internal modeling capability. Activities involve mid/long-range strategy build, market expansion and rationalization, strategic business partnership andcorporate-led transformation initiatives.Support companywide operations and special projects.Maintain slotting programs across multiple operations (“divisions”), including existing and new sites.Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures and align with Corporate Engineering team (DC Capability CIP).Report and engage senior operational and engineering leaders and stakeholders to gain alignment on implementation plans and success metrics.Coordinates cross team dependencies and collaborates between various groups to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues daily.Propose and implement changes to operating procedures to improve quality or programs, accuracy, and efficiency.Partner with division operations to reinforce consistent process execution and identify opportunities for process improvement.Assess and optimize processes and equipment within the facility and region to support business needs.Implement and support McLane's warehouse slotting optimization systems.Perform ad hoc data analysis on key business functions.Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
A teammate in this position must:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering preferred, other applicable degrees in Supply Chain Management and Operations Management with accompanying experience will be considered.4 or more years of experience as a regional or on-site industrial engineer required.Experience with modern programming/scripting language to create models.Understanding of Data Analytical or ETL tools, Statistical Analysis and Operations Research Simulation a plus.Understanding of distribution center operations to include receiving, selection, replenishment, routing and dispatch, as well as distribution facility layout, racking storage design and Material Handling system.Hand-on experience with Manhattan WMS or JDA/Red Prairie WMS is a plus.Solid oral and written communication skills with ability to advocate for and present recommendations to leadership.Ability to function in a fast-paced office and warehouse environment in a professional manner.Self-starter with an ability to communicate and interact with multiple cross-functional levels of the organization.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Remote, Warehouse, and Office environment.25-50% travel required.
