Role description:
Arcadis is searching for an Industrial Wastewater Engineer specializing in railroad projects. This person will be primarily tasked with preparing detailed design drawings and specifications for improvements to collection systems, pump stations, and treatment facilities at various railroad sites. In addition to design work, this role includes involvement in construction administration to confirm the project is executed according to the established plans and specifications. The engineer collaborates closely with design disciplines, project managers, and site staff. Attention to detail, independent task management skills, and a thorough understanding of the design and construction processes are crucial in successfully fulfilling these responsibilities.
Role accountabilities:
AutoCAD - Must have experience with AutoCAD as you will support the production of project CAD deliverables and drawings that are accurate, clear, concise, and compliant with Arcadis, industry, and national standards and codes of practice and any other standards dictated by project/client requirements.
Project Management - Evaluate, plan, design, and support management of projects for water / wastewater treatment and conveyance (pipelines, treatment, and pumping facilities). This will include preparation of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) reports and making sure assigned work is completed within budget and meets project deadlines. Part of this responsibility will involve completion of design calculations, detailed design and engineering plans and specifications, as well as construction administration for a variety of projects as part of a team. You will also be expected to support professional engineering services during construction: construction observation, review of shop drawings, responses to request for information (RFIs), and project closeout
Client Experience - This will be a client facing role where you will need to communicate frequently with clients and other third parties which may included contractors and interdisciplinary teams. You will be expected to prepare presentations. cost estimates, and participate in client meetings
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience with AutoCAD Experience in preparing Operation and Maintenance (O&M) reports. Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 6-monthsPreferred Qualifications:
3 or more years of relevant experience with either Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or consulting Exhibit ownership of delegated tasks, including responsibility for coordination and delivery of on-schedule and on-budget tasks Experience with industrial wastewater, facility infrastructure design, and other industrial planning, design, and construction engineering activitiesContinue your career journey as an Arcadian.

We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start date, and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $82,000 - $92,000.
