This role is to concentrate all testing and testability aspects of new biometric products into one specialist and also strengthen our competence in the subject. He/she shall monitor the design and development and support it from the testability/manufacturability viewpoint. Later, when the project enters validation/verification phase, the responsibility of this role shall move to plan/develop, setup and carry out validation and certification tests. The last stage is to transfer the design to manufacturing, i.e. work with mfg. engineering and implement all test systems needed for production.

As our Industrialization Specialist, you’ll support HID’s success by:
Reviewing design for manufacturability, technology compatibility Assessing ease of assembly process (unnecessary complications, weaknesses prone to failures, poka yoke…) Testability reviews – features necessary for successful test and required test coverage Technical negotiations with CM/EMS Designing and Product validation (DV/PV) tests requirements capture and planning (EMC, shake & bake, ALT, confidence tests) – synergy of own expertise and collaboration with other teams DVT and production testing fixtures design and production coordination, factory software development coordination (in cooperation with design teams and external suppliers) DV/PV tests execution Production line tests requirements capture (BLT, system tests, EOL, software upload, calibration) Test planning, test coverage assessment, quality Test process coverage verification (failure injection) Test strategy commissioning support to mfg engineering, continuous quality improvements Assessment of product modifications or components replacement impact, retesting/recertification
What we will love about your background:
Bachelor’s degree in either Electronics or Mechatronic Engineering If in CZ – Possess or ability to acquire certification in par.5 or higher of decree 250/2021 (electrical qualification) Past experience in similar position
Your Experience and Education include:
3yrs+ experience in electronics manufacturing preparation (PCBA, optical systems, final product assembly), bringing a design to production, defining production tests and test requirements capture (HW, SW, mechanical, system). Fluency in usual Industrialization and electronics manufacturing terminology PCBA level production tests, Electrical/optical/mechanical assembly tests, DV/PV and certification tests 2yrs+ experience defining and performing electrical verification testing on new products (DV/PV) Fluency in DFM and DFT topics for electric/mechanical/optical systems, experience in providing reqs. and guidance to design community Fundamental knowledge of electronic HW design and basics of mechanical engineering Fundamental knowledge of SW programming and scripting Experience with test HW and SW development and test features implementation (hands-on and coordination) Knowledge of test automation software and appropriate scripting languages (e.g. NI Labview, python, etc.) Knowledge of Test processes and Implementation of jigs, fixtures and other tools for testing. Writing comprehensive reports
