Job Description

This position is an internship for a STEM bachelor’s degree “Rising Junior” on the Connected Factory Team within the Digital Technology organization. This is a coveted opportunity to work with and be mentored by the juggernaut of Aerospace & Defense.

Job Summary

Interns working on the Connected Factory Team can expect to have wide exposure to operational technology, industrial cybersecurity, cyber compliance, and manufacturing automation. Below is a summary of what you can expect your duties to be:

Maintain basic cyber hygiene of production manufacturing systems

Management and remediation of IT and OT vulnerabilities

Troubleshoot manufacturing automation issues on the factory floor

Assist with enhancing our cyber compliance documentation and process for industrial systems

Learn daily and apply critical thinking/problem-solving skills to resolve time-sensitive issues

Coding & scripting to support administrative tasks (not a problem if you don’t have this experience)

Qualifications You Must Have: 

Must be a Rising Junior (entering Junior year by fall of 2025) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

Must have a passion for technology and be eager to learn

Must be a U.S. Citizen
 

This position is for an actively enrolled sophomore who will be entering their junior year fall of 2025 and must have completed 60 credit hours of college by start of internship.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
