Job DescriptionWe are in search of a dynamic and visionary Retail Chief Technology Officer to join our team – a knowledgeable industry expert with a profound focus on transformative initiatives within the Retail space. The ideal candidate will possess a remarkable track record of driving strategic growth by fostering relationships within the C-suite, illustrating the value of cross-product and platform initiatives, and boasting extensive experience within the retail domain. This multifaceted role demands exceptional leadership prowess, an in-depth comprehension of market trends, industry challenges and opportunity for retailers, and the knack for recognising and seizing transformational business opportunities. Proficiency in procuring and managing Software as a Service (SAAS) environments within the retail sector is a definite asset for this role. Additionally, prior experience working in a retailer would be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the retail industry, including key trends, challenges, and opportunities.Serve as a trusted advisor to our retail clients, providing insights and recommendations on how to leverage ServiceNow's solutions to achieve their business objectives.Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive business development strategy, specifically targeting transformational initiatives within the retail industryCultivate and nurture robust relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and influential figures within the industry.Identify which key industry events ServiceNow should have a presence at, and work with the marketing team on building out that presence, as well as creating new impactful customer events and building a community of retail customersIdentify prospective business opportunities and cultivate strategic partnerships to bolster the company's growth objectives, leveraging insights into market dynamics and industry trends.Conduct exhaustive market research and analysis to uncover emerging trends and transformative opportunities within the industry landscape.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine the company's value proposition and devise innovative solutions to address market demands.Monitor market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer feedback to inform strategic decision-making and enhance business development efforts.Stay current with industry developments and continuously update knowledge and skills to remain a thought leader in the retail sector.Collaborate closely with the executive team to delineate and execute the company's overarching growth strategy, integrating transformational initiatives.QualificationsTo be successful in this role, applicants would usually need to demonstrate
