Industry Practices Product Development Specialist

Job Description

Industry Practices differentiate Chubb as a specialist in product alignment, underwriting expertise, and service delivery in selected industries. Our Industry Practice offering is about providing tailored specialist insurance solutions, with capabilities and products that evolve to meet the changing risks of each industry. Industry practices universe in Spain includes Life Sciences, Technology, Media & Communication, Climate (Renewal energies/Alternative fuel, and Climate Technology) and Construction.

We have ambition to accelerate growth of our Industry Practice model in France, and this is a critical role working with key stakeholders in country, Region, and Chubb Overseas General to create market leading products.

The product development specialist will work upstream with IP teams to assess product development needs, then validate this hypothesis with a panel of brokers defined by him/her. He/she will then manage the development of the project, interacting with the various internal stakeholders (underwriting, claims, legal, etc.) while preparing the wording. He/she will also have to validate the product as per chubb standard process, and work with marketing to produce specific sheets and different marketing assets.

You will bring strong legal knowledge, extensive underwriting or claims experience, a detail-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities :

Primary focus is development of Industry Practices wordings – new and enhancements across multiple lines of business. Work as part of a team collaborating with different stakeholders (underwriters, region, legal, conduct, marketing, country representatives) Contribute to the development of new wordings and coverages to address emerging and industry specific risks. Legal, marketing and product intelligence, and provide advice to underwriters where there is a potential impact on Chubb wordings. Support market research, working with market sizing tools, and conducting both desks based, and dialogue-based research Deliver training to underwriters and brokers on wording related issues and emerging trends. Ensure wordings & products are in line with Chubb requirements and guidelines, adhering to our approvals process. To assist in the maintenance of the central wordings’ repository. Work with marketing to create assets promoting products. Project management, coordinating with different stakeholders until product launch (underwriters, region, legal, conduct, marketing, country representatives)



 

Required profile : 

Experience of a technical nature is required (underwriting, claims, or insurance legal), and ability to apply those skills to the drafting of policy wordings across multiple lines of business. It is expected the candidate will have a strong legal background. Ability to time manage Projects and work independently. Co-ordinating with key stakeholders and ability to focus on Project implementation / execution, including managing deadlines. Team player with strong communication and influence skills. Ability to be part on an international team, share best practices with peers from other countries. Good communication skills and High attention to detail Language skills: fluent English + native French– another language is a plus. Able to embrace Chubb’s values: Customer focus, Excellence, Teamwork, Respect and Integrity
