Major Responsibilities \n\nPlan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of our Infection Control and Prevention Program in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our center to ensure that the center provides a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment.\nHelp prevent and control the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections.\nCollaborate with center leadership and the medical director to develop, implement, evaluate and re-evaluate the annual infection control and prevention goals and plans.\nAssess employees with open lesions or communicable disease for ability to work and any limitations or restrictions.\nRecord, track and trend surveillance and investigation of infections; and actions taken to prevent and control spread of infections and report to center QAPI committee.\nProvide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results. \n\n
Minimum Qualifications\n
Registered Nurse (RN)\n\nMust possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Diploma with associated RN license from an accredited college or university.\nCertificate\/diploma or degree in nursing, or bachelor's degree (or higher) in microbiology or epidemiology; or associate's degree (or higher) in medical technology or clinical laboratory science; or completion of training in another related field such as that for physicians, pharmacists, and physician's assistants.\nCertification in Infection Control as specified by Appendix PP at F880 is required prior to assuming the role in infection prevention and control.\nYou must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.\n\n
