Full TimePLEASE NOTE: This position is located onsite in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Qualified candidates must reside in the greater Tulsa area or be open to relocation.
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm
Job Summary: The Infection Prevention Data Analyst reinforces the health system’s quality improvement and organizational performance initiatives and goals through data management. This role collects data, performs statistical analyses, creates, and maintains reports and databases to develop analytical solutions that maintain optimal quality metrics in support of system goals and mission.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or healthcare related field.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.
Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of related experience, preferably in data management or analytics.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and other applicable applications. Strong presentation and delivery skills. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, statistical, and teamwork skills. Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, proven ability to be detail oriented and to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to create and maintain databases in various programs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Facilitates quality improvement and organizational performance initiatives including team meetings and activities; providing administrative support and serving on health system committees, as needed. Develops and maintains customized databases that support departmental programs, functions, and projects. Collects, maintains, and analyzes data obtained from a variety of resources. Investigates variances and participates in root cause analysis, reviewing and validating data to ensure integrity and consistency across data sources. Develops, generates, and distributes statistical reports and findings for presentation to key stakeholders. Reviews electronic medical records, abstracting clinical data as mandated by regulatory agencies. Uses verified data to support requests from physicians and team members and other quality indicator scorecards. Serves as a liaison for computer support issues; creates and maintains the infection prevention intranet page.
Decision Making: Independent judgment in planning sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field.
Working Relationships: Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise). Works with internal and/or external costumers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
