Demonstrates effective emotional intelligence, listening, and learning skills and is acquiring baseline knowledge about each department and team in which they interactDevelops fundamental infection prevention and control skills including: isolation, surveillance (e.g. hand hygiene, healthcare-associated infection surveillance (e.g. MDRO, CAUTI, CLABSI, VAE, and SSI), reporting appropriate data and information to assigned clinical units or areas and, process metrics data collection, basic analysis, and reporting to local, state, and national public health agencies as requiredRotation in the on-call schedule will commence upon manager discretionAssist with education to individuals and groups including at point of care opportunitiesAdditionally, participate in infection control related educational offerings and meetings as well as participating in regulatory readinessExperience includes one of the following:
RN License, nursing degree and 3 years clinical related experienceBachelor's degree in Microbiology or Public Health and 3 years microbiology experienceRN License, nursing degree and 2 years infection control experienceMaster's degree in Epidemiology and 2 years Epidemiology experienceEducation includes one of the following:
