We offer ongoing training and development opportunities for licensed and unlicensed healthcare team members, and have best in class clinical resources for training, education, and point of care support. **How you make a difference** As an Infectious Disease Physician, you will play a pivotal role in the medical assessment and care of patients, working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager- Health Services & PI and ARNPs to ensure comprehensive healthcare. Your responsibilities will extend to facilitating consultations and referrals among the medical staff, contributing to the seamless coordination of patient care. Additionally, this role entails on-call responsibilities, highlighting your commitment to addressing infectious disease challenges promptly and ensuring continuous support for patient well-being. **Key Responsibilities** + Conducts comprehensive assessments of HIV patients' physical health upon admission and throughout their incarceration, employing physical examinations and lab evaluations while ensuring meticulous documentation of all findings. + Coordinates outside referrals when necessary, manages clinical oversight of assessments, reassessments, and ongoing care activities, providing on-call coverage for after-hours patient care as required. + Facilitates referrals for tests and consultations, meticulously follows up on results and recommendations, and monitors patients' medical conditions, offering referrals to Behavioral Health as needed. + Delivers patient education on medical diagnoses and collaborates effectively with interdisciplinary staff, maintaining professionalism and open communication. + Demonstrates a thorough understanding and compliance with special precautions, disaster and fire safety protocols, and abuse reporting, while tailoring individualized care and treatment that aligns with the diverse age and life span developmental needs of patients. **Qualifications & Requirements** Education + Medical doctorate (MD) from an accredited university.
