Overview

The Inflight Duty Manager is available during operational hours in the OCC to address immediate operational needs and concerns, including safety related issues. The Inflight Duty Manager will work directly with the OCC Duty Manager, Dispatch, Base Operations, Crew Scheduling, Flight Ops, Tech Ops as well as other entities within Endeavor to ensure Inflight Operations policy and procedures are aligned with other divisions.

 

The Inflight Duty Manager will be the “go to” person and Flight Attendant advocate for solutions and clarification on operational issues and concerns, down line and in base. The Inflight Duty Manager provides support to the OCC by solving Inflight issues as a result of OCC decisions.  

 

Responsibilities Work with Base Management, Crew Scheduling, Flight Operations, Corporate Security and/or Technical Operations representatives to resolve any operations issue quickly and efficiently.Respond to Flight Attendant operational needs on a 20 hour basis (providing timely Flight Attendant advocacy/resolution on scheduling, logistics and IROP issues.Serve as liaison to Base Operations to ensure on-time departures and track, trend and monitor the delay codes attributed to the Inflight Department.Provide timely and detailed briefings to Inflight Leadership regarding emergency response, weather information, Flight Attendant staffing (absences, etc.) and Flight Attendant issues/concerns to uphold operational integrity.Monitor system wide events that may impact Flight Attendants while in base or on layover.Understand operational goals including net promoter score (NPS) and make decisions based on these goals with an emphasis on protecting our customers and operation.Build strong relationships and maintain open, informative, and mutual lines of communications with all departments.Participate in Endeavor and Delta Air Lines daily briefings and conference calls.Policy and procedure interpretation/clarification.Advise on what to do if sudden changes happen due to operational delays.Assist in tarmac delay mitigation as they pertain to DOT3 requirements. Participate in IROP plans and help communicate to crews.Work alongside crew scheduling to help mitigate FAR and Contractual issues.Conduct research and handles special projects as assigned to support the goals and objectives of Inflight Operations and prepares specialized reports. Participate as an Inflight Leadership liaison with the Crew Scheduling Team and the Emergency Response Team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and related experience.3 years of experience in Inflight preferred.2 years of leadership experience preferred.Must be able to work well with others as part of a team.Must be self-motivated and be able to perform with minimal direct supervision.Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.Ability to take initiative, make decisions and resolve problems.Ability to remain composed in a demanding fast paced work environment and take control in unexpected situations.Must remain a “Hybrid Subject Matter Expert” by completing all E-learning quarterly modules and observe an annual CQ training.Knowledge of FARs and Employee Contract Administration.Reliable and self-motivated.Ability to effectively to meet deadlines.PC proficient in Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Work Environment & Physical Demands Can involve long periods of sitting and walking on the aircraft.  Will be available for 10hr work days, 4 days a week, include one weekend day Ability to work additional hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Some repetitive motion such as typing.Position requires some physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking and light lifting of boxes, bags, and electronic equipment not in excess of 40 lbs.
