We are seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst to lead security assessments for new IT projects, services, and integrations. This role requires a critical thinker with a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, solution architectures, and risk management.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring our organization maintains robust security posture and compliance while enabling strategic business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Conduct comprehensive IT security assessments on new IT initiatives and technology solutions to identify security risk, compliance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
+ Evaluate proposed solution or application design, architecture, configuration, and security, and recommend IT security enhancements.
+ Prepare and present cybersecurity and risk assessment reports for senior management, outlining potential impacts and recommended actions.
+ Collaborate with project teams, GRC, and IT partners to identify and integrate security best practices and cybersecurity principles into solutions and project lifecycle.
+ Prepare executive reports on assessment findings and provide actionable recommendations for risk mitigation.
+ Provide expert advice on security controls and remediation strategies based on assessment results.
+ Document and improve IT security assessment processes and maintain records for compliance audits.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security assessments or a similar role.
+ Modern technology solution architecture knowledge, including application, web, cloud, network, and mobile design.
+ Strong knowledge of security and compliance frameworks, controls, best practices, and risk management processes (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, COBIT, etc.).
+ Proven depth in cybersecurity principles such as Secure by Design, Zero Trust, Secure Defaults, Defense in Depth, and Principle of Least Privilege
+ Knowledge and experience in Application Security, including security integration, security controls, risk assessments, and secure coding, and relevant tooling.
+ DevSecOps, CI/CD, automation, and agile methodology experience.
+ Outstanding analytical, communication, and critical thinking skills.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
+ Positive, business-first, and solution-oriented approach
+ Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CSSLP, CASE, etc. (Preferred)
+ Understanding of regulatory requirements (PCI, SOX, GDPR) and industry best practices. (Preferred)
