AGCO is looking to hire candidates for the position of Informatica Platform Technology Lead. Clean, actionable, and compliant data and effective analytics are a foundational requirement for a farmer first company. As Informatica Platform Technology Lead your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) environment. You will play a key role in user administration, ensuring secure and efficient access and implementing new functionalities on the platform. Proactively collaborating with development teams, data engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and providing support is essential for this role to ensure alignment with business objectives. This is a critical technical role with hands on detailed system configuration required to ensure security, stability, and system performance. This role reports to Sr. Manager, Data Governance, Quality and Compliance that is in the overall Data & AI governance function.
Your Impact
Administer user accounts, roles, and permissions within IDMC to ensure secure and appropriate access for different stakeholders. Configure and optimize the IDMC platform to meet performance and scalability requirements, considering the specific needs of data integration workflows and data governance use-cases. Implement and maintain robust security measures, including encryption, authentication, and authorization to safeguard sensitive data within IDMC. Establish and maintain backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures or data loss. Set up and manage metadata repositories within IDMC, ensuring proper governance and facilitating comprehensive data lineage tracking. Implement effective monitoring and logging practices to track system health, identify issues proactively, and maintain an audit trail of platform activities. Collaborate with development teams, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide support, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Plan and execute platform upgrades, applying patches and updates to IDMC to ensure the latest features, security enhancements and bug fixes are incorporated. Investigate and resolve issues related to data integration, profiling, system errors or performance bottlenecks. Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and best practices for IDMC administration. Collaborate with Informatica as a vendor, including participating in discussions regarding support, issue resolution and new feature releases. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency of all workflows on the platform. Work with data stewards and collaborators to create and maintain our data catalog.Your Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Total 8 to 12 years of work experience with a Minimum of 4 to 5 years working in Data Governance and Data Management. Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services covering all aspects of integration, administration, configuration, and optimization. Experience based understanding of Data Architecture, Metadata, Data Lifecycle, Data Quality Standards and Logical Data Modelling Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes and implement effective solutions within the IDMC environment. In-depth understanding of data integration concepts and hands-on experience configuring and managing data integration workflows, mappings, and transformations within IDMC Experience in change data capture, Data warehousing, SQL, SQL server and Unix shell scripting Effective communication / people skills, capable of interacting with multiple levels of IT and business management.
