Informatics Educator
Under the direction of the Informatics Training Manager, this position develops and delivers training for hospital clinical and business information systems. Conducts needs and skills assessments for end users to determine the type and duration of training needed, develops training documentation and outlines, and delivers training to end-users with varying levels of computer literacy and in various clinical and business modules/applications.   Annual Salary Rate: $73,881.60 - $108,971.20 This is a hybrid position in Phoenix.    Qualifications Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing, education, or a related field or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work in lieu of a degree. A master’s degree is preferred and may substitute for the required experience. Experience: Requires three (3) years of training, education, or healthcare-related experience that demonstrates an understanding of the standard tools, workflow processes, and/or procedures and concepts used in implementing, designing, and delivering training programs and materials. Certification/Licensure: Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete a fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of the hire date. Must present the actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card. Prefer certification(s) related to business, clinical, or financial application(s)/system(s). Prefer professional clinical licensure (e.g., RN, Radiology, Laboratory, Pharmacy, etc.). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must possess and demonstrate knowledge of and skill in areas of healthcare applications, technology, education, and automated systems, as well as Epic software, as evidenced by passing a competency certification test by Epic and experience in providing classroom and/or on-site training in health information systems. Must have an understanding of healthcare business and software, the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical professionals, and a solid ability to translate administrative and operating requirements into clear, specific, and actionable curricula and then implement and teach those curriculums. Requires knowledge of training methods, procedures, and practices used in software training/education and the ability to assess priorities and self-time management through deliverables. Must possess solid analytical skills to translate the analysis into effective troubleshooting and problem resolution, frequently exercising independent technical judgment. Must have skills to support others in the application and facilitation, as well as an aptitude for coordination for consensus building and functional and workflow analysis. Must communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Requires the ability to collect and analyze complex data, perform workflow analysis, translate the outcome into curriculum, and exercise considerable individual judgment and initiative in conducting the necessary facilitation of training programs. Must be able to develop initiatives in an innovative manner for effective resolution, prepare and conduct effective presentations, coordinate activities with diverse groups and individuals, and simultaneously support multiple applications. Must possess good verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills, including basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation knowledge. Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
