Where Pharmacy Expertise Meets Technology Innovation

Step into a pivotal role at the intersection of pharmacy practice and healthcare IT. As an IT Pharmacist, you will serve as a key clinical and informatics expert supporting and optimizing pharmacy systems that enhance medication safety, clinical workflows, and regulatory compliance.

You’ll collaborate with pharmacy leadership, clinical informatics, IT system consultants, and the Chief Medical Information Officer to guide the development and support of pharmacy IT solutions across the health system. If you’re a residency-trained pharmacist with a passion for digital health and systems optimization—this is where you can make your mark.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide clinical insight and informatics leadership for pharmacy-related IT systems

Partner with the IT Applications Manager, CMIO, and System Analysts to support implementation, maintenance, and optimization of EHR and pharmacy software (e.g., Cerner Millennium)

Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards, including support for medication safety, formulary management, and pharmacy workflows

Translate clinical and operational needs into technology solutions and enhancements

Serve as a subject matter expert for clinical decision support, medication use processes, and regulatory requirements

Educate and collaborate with pharmacists, providers, and IT stakeholders across the organization

Minimum Qualifications:

✔ Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college
✔ Current Missouri Pharmacist License, in good standing with Medication Therapy Services (MTS) designation
✔ Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent practice experience
✔ Strong foundation in clinical pharmacy practice and hospital workflows
✔ Effective prioritization and self-management skills, with the ability to work independently
✔ Commitment to obtain Board Certification (via BPS) within 2 years of assuming the position

Preferred Qualifications:

PGY2 Residency in Informatics or clinical specialty area

3–5 years of experience with hospital pharmacy IT systems and/or health system informatics

Experience with Cerner Millennium, including Cerner Certification as a Pharmacy Analyst

Advanced business or healthcare degree (MBA, MHA, etc.)

Proven track record implementing or optimizing EHR-integrated clinical workflows

What You’ll Bring:

Deep understanding of the medication use process in hospital settings

Passion for improving care delivery through smart technology integration

Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills

Team-first attitude and ability to navigate cross-functional collaboration
