Title: Information Resource Center Data Specialist
Location: Charleston, TN
Additional locations include Cleveland, TN and Houston, TX.

Salary: $55,000 - $70,000
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week.

Focus: This position supports the Information Resource Center (IRC) by conducting research through various internal and external sources to provide historical and/or industry-specific data for various business process groups throughout the Division. This role requires a self-motivated, highly organized individual with strong computer literacy and the ability to provide outstanding customer service.

Data Specialist Essential Job Functions: Compiles data into large complex data sets and creates clear and actionable visualizations, including charts, graphs and dashboards to support decision-making of the end user. Gathers, tracks and organizes market and product data (e.g. trade flows) from our key suppliers and various forms of intelligence. Provides superior customer service by responding to information requests in a timely and cost-effective manner. Investigates and trouble shoot access issues involving various vendor platforms. Maintains the Information Resource Center’s Documentum cabinet.  Data Specialist Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree*; Business, STEM or Data Analysis preferred.   Minimum of 1 year of experience in a science related field; experience in a corporate/business information resource role preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including advanced Excel skills. Experience with SAP, Documentum, SharePoint, Google Scholar and Google patents experience preferred. Experience with external information retrieval databases preferred (i.e. in-depth Google searches, Patsnap). Clear and concise communication skills, ability to interact with all levels in the organization. Self-starter, ability to work independently with minimal supervision with high level of attention to detail.   Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.   Candidates located in Charleston, TN must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
