Role Overview and Responsibilities

Purpose

We require an Information Security Analyst to provide technical guidance and implementations for Information Security across our business.  TT has a number of manufacturing sites across the globe and a diverse footprint of technologies and customers with Defence, Aerospace and Medical driving our strategic growth agenda.  The business has a devolved organisational structure with ownership for results sitting within the business units. Therefore, the successful individual would need to be comfortable engaging with users to ensure security requirements are understood by all.

The Information Security Analyst will have the key focus on supporting the continual improvement of information security and aligning our solutions with corporate standards and compliance frameworks. This would include a key focus on aligning the business to CMMC, supporting audits and maintaining compliance.

The Information Security Analyst will build effective relationships with business users to gain an understanding of their business processes and associated information security requirements.  They are expected to use this knowledge to ensure that the business remains compliant with the appropriate standards and controls, as well as ensuring security solutions are appropriate to business needs.

The individual will need to be a pragmatic self-starter who is rolling up their sleeves and ‘doing’.  Someone who can balance the needs of security requirements against what our users need to carry out their role successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

Support successful CMMC certification and compliance with various NIST standards.Co-ordinate vulnerability management and ensuring relevant vulnerabilities and risks are identified and mitigated, both on premise and in the cloud.Monitor computer networks for security issues, working with third parties to investigate issues.Identify and monitor external information sources, making recommendations on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.Act as a point of escalation for service delivery teams, triaging and handling colleagues' queries related to information security.Work with the Information Security Manager to implement items on the cybersecurity strategy and maintain an on-going programme of security testing.Test and evaluate new technology.Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Required Skills:

 

We would expect the applicant to have experience with the following:

Experience in an IT Service Desk role or similar.Experience working with infrastructure and technology, ideally including understanding of security operations.Experience working with endpoint security, infrastructure security and technical security baselines.Create and maintain policy and procedural documentation in line with contractual and regulatory obligations.Must be based in the United States.

We would expect the applicant to have the ability to:

Strong analytical and problem–solving skills, with the ability to think critically.Work on own initiative with minimum supervision. Actively listen and communicate technical subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences, flexes style to suit the needs of the audience.

Work with others effectively, with 3rd parties, internal teams, and international business units, promoting knowledge sharing within IT and across the business.

 

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Experience of dealing with Operational Technology issues in a Manufacturing environmentExperience in supporting a global and multi-cultural organization.
