Information Security Analyst
Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Information Security Analyst in the vibrant city of Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be primarily focused on safeguarding our digital assets from unauthorized access, both online and on-premise. Your daily tasks will involve dealing with a variety of security threats and incidents, with an emphasis on proactive threat detection and mitigation in a security operations environment. Responsibilities: • Safeguard digital assets by preventing unauthorized access, both online and on-premise • Investigate security events and logs daily, aiming to understand root causes • Take immediate remediation steps when necessary, based on investigations and assessments • Identify potential vulnerabilities, activities and threats that could pose a security risk to the organization • Utilize broad SIEM tool experience for queries, analysis, investigation, remediation, and incident response • Fine-tune security technologies to improve detection rates and minimize false positives • Develop comprehensive documentation of processes • Provide recommendations to improve controls, policies, procedures and standards • Interact professionally with all levels of staff, including C-level executives and attorneys. Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of an Information Security Analyst or related field. • Expertise in incident response (Blue team activities). • Proficiency in operating within a Security Operation Center is a must-have. • Knowledge and understanding of Advanced Threat Detection are necessary for this role. • Familiarity with Cyber Threats and Security Threats is essential. • Ability to conduct comprehensive Threat Analysis is required. • Expertise in Cyber Security measures and protocols is mandatory. • Experience with Endpoint Security is essential for the role. • Proficiency in using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems is required. • The candidate should be adept at Remediation processes and techniques. • The ability to identify, analyze, and address security incidents promptly and efficiently is crucial.
