Information Security Analyst
Description We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Information Security Analyst to join our growing security team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in information security, with a strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies. You will play a critical role in protecting our organization's data and systems from evolving threats. Responsibilities: Security Monitoring and Incident Response: + Monitor security systems and logs for suspicious activity and potential security incidents. + Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware infections, data breaches, and unauthorized access. + Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans. + Perform forensic analysis of security incidents. + Maintain incident response plans and procedures. Vulnerability Management: + Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. + Identify and prioritize security vulnerabilities. + Coordinate with IT teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities. + Track and report on vulnerability management activities. Security Policy and Compliance: + Assist in the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures. + Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR). + Conduct security awareness training for employees. + Perform security risk assessments. Security Tool Management: + Manage and maintain security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection. + Evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies. + Optimize security tool configurations for effectiveness. Threat Intelligence: + Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities. + Analyze threat intelligence feeds and identify potential risks. + Provide threat intelligence reports to management. Collaboration and Communication: + Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and external partners on security matters. + Communicate security risks and recommendations to stakeholders. + Document security procedures and incident response activities. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience). + Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security. + Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies. + Experience with security monitoring and incident response. + Knowledge of vulnerability management and penetration testing. + Familiarity with security compliance standards and regulations. + Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls). + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH) are highly desired. Preferred Skills: + Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP). + Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell). + Experience with threat intelligence platforms. + Experience conducting security audits.
