Knowledge of UCaaS, CCaaS, and CPaaS technologies

We're looking for an experienced Information Security Engineer to help design and implement security controls and processes that protect Vonage’s systems and data. This role is key to ensuring our information security strategy is both proactive and resilient in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.
Your key responsibilities Identify and analyze security risks in existing systems, processes, infrastructure, and applicationsDesign, enhance, and implement security controls and processes to mitigate identified risks
Support the development and execution of information security policies, procedures, and standards
Monitor security systems for potential threats and respond accordingly
Contribute to the design and maintenance of a strong security architecture aligned with industry best practices
Deliver security awareness training and foster a security-first mindset across teams
Required:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field—or equivalent experience3+ years in a security-related role
Deep understanding of security and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA)
Proficiency with firewalls, endpoint security, mobile device management, and vulnerability scanning tools
Strong knowledge of cloud security concepts (AWS, GCP), networking protocols, and operating systems
Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, PCI DSS)
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Experience we consider a plus:
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CEHExperience integrating security into DevSecOps and the software development lifecycle
