We are looking for an intern that wants to dive deep into a challenging security landscape of a global 5G leader that operates in a space of critical infrastructure. Our interns don't just sit behind a desk or in the back-office. As an Ericsson information security/cybersecurity intern you will grow your skills and enhance your career potential in the security space on a mission-focused projects, while learning in a fast-paced, technology-evolving environment. All hands on.
You will have a variety of robust and rich experiences, such as exposure to cybersecurity activities outside your immediate assignments, collaborating closely with diverse teams all around the world.
Ideally you already have a background in Cyber security/IT or a great passion to grow your career in the field with at least basic understanding of IT and Security principles, with automation skills being a tremendous plus.
What you will do:
You can expect to work closely with our Information security, IT Security & Privacy team on all phases including planning, stakeholder management, and project execution. Some of the typical activities during your internship may be:
Cybersecurity Incident ManagementAsset managementVulnerability ManagementThird party security risk managementSecurity Strategy and Tactical plan DesignEthical HackingCyber Threat MonitoringCloud SecurityIdentity and Access ManagementPrivacy and Data ProtectionArtificial Intelligence (AI) in CybersecurityProcess automation
The skills you bring:
Current student pursuing a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math). Ability to bridge the gap between business strategy and security strategy to help enable the business and ensure secure solutionsExcellent thinking, analytical, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Effective time management skills for handling multiple priorities and simultaneous projects Enthusiasm to learn through a combination of structured, on-the-job, and self-directed training Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environmentMust be a rising senior pursuing a cyber security major/minor/specialization or equivalent in the Fall of 2025
