As an Information Security Intern, you’ll help to monitor for security problems, investigate issues, and collaborate with teams across Rocket Companies to find solutions. As a valued member of the team, you’ll work closely with team members to mitigate risk while expanding your knowledge of cybersecurity.

About the Role

Assist with building and deploying support to internal clients through instant messages, phone and face-to-face interactionsCollaborate with engineers, developers, architects, quality assurance, system engineers and product managers to solve new and existing technical issuesUnderstand requirements, implement designs, and provide administration tools and documentation for specific projectsDevelop and maintain software to support business functionsParticipate in design and code reviewsFollow and enhance existing development processesMeasure and verify that codes have acceptable performance and scalability

About You

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or equivalent fieldA foundation in programming fundamentals, design patterns, data structures, object-oriented design principles, unit testing, and modern version control flowsWillingness to learn new programing languages and technologiesExperience with one or more of the following languages: C# (or other .NET language), Java, or JavaScript (either back-end, e.g., NodeJS, and/or front-end, such as Angular, React, or Vue).Understanding of working in a continuous integration and continuous delivery environment or Agile teamInterest in working with software automation frameworks to do functional testingInterest in developing applications in a cloud environment, such as AWS or AzureComfort working on the command linePortfolio, code samples and projects are preferred
