Information Security Risk and Assurance Coordinator - System Wide

OVERVIEW

This is a remote/work from home opportunity. Hire must live within the continental US and be open to working eastern time zone hours. This is a critical support role to many Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH) Governance functions. This role facilitates the BSMH Regulatory and Compliance Committee, PCI Governance Committee, Cybersecurity Risk Oversight Committee and several operational committees within Cybersecurity.

SUMMARY/GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION

Provide daily operational support and program coordination to the Bon Secours Mercy Health Information Security Risk and Assurance Team by successfully performing assigned duties and responsibilities.  Support and coordinate the planning, development and deployment of the information security risk and assurance program and initiatives.  Promote information security compliance awareness and a risk-focused culture through actions and meaningful, effective communications with customers/workforce members, peers and leadership.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Manage IS Risk and Assurance dashboards to ensure accurate and current information is available to leadership and other stakeholders.

Coordinate and facilitate IS Risk and Assurance meetings and associated processes; including coordinating meeting materials/artifacts, agenda development and recording of meeting minutes.

Support IS Risk and Assurance Leadership team with initiatives, projects and programs.

Responsible for the management of departmental Outlook mailbox(es) and other identified workflow management tools.

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and engage in regular communication to coordinate and complete security risk and assurance related activities.

Support leadership in communication and dissemination of meaningful information to all security leads, technical leads, I&T leadership and organizational leadership regarding current Security Risk and Assurance program and industry issues.

Serve as customer delegate for risk and assurance requests and support needs; provide accurate assistance and/or escalate appropriately

Support formal Program status reporting to senior and executive leadership, coordinating with key members of the IS risk and assurance program for composition.

Provide general research and project coordination assistance to the IS risk and assurance leadership team.

Assist with the development of IS risk and assurance program education.

Maintain a working knowledge of current industry specific regulations including HIPAA, HITECH and PCI requirements.  Stay up to date on policies, standards, technologies and emerging trends related to information security risk and assurance.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS

Required Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor’s Degree

Specialty/Major- Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or healthcare related field

Minimum Years and Type of Experience Required:

Minimum of five (5) years professional experience

At least two (2) years’ experience working with coordination of cross functional meetings, projects and complex assignments in a multi-entity organization

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment and maintain composure under pressure. 

Demonstrated experience in business and technical writing, specifically meeting minutes, process flows and workforce education; ability to create and maintain detailed documentation. 

Independent, self-starter with the ability to initiate and complete projects in a timely manner with minimal supervision or direction.
