Information Services Senior Data Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and maintains new / existing data pipelines and data source marts for internal use under general supervision using a combination of data and application development concepts such as configuration driven architecture and infrastructure as code. P Participates in the full development life cycle including requirements gathering and analysis with internal customers.  Supports, maintains, and documents software functionality.  Identifies and evaluates new technologies for implementation.  Analyzes code for defects and to identify root causes of issues.  Revises programs as needed.  Works with management and architects to design and propose solutions to complex data movement challenges that increase the service capabilities of our Enterprise Data Platform (ERP) and reduce overall technology spend, implementation efforts, and/or maintenance costs.

STRONGLY PREFERRED:

10 years of experience in an information technology field. 5 years of experience with two or more coding languages, such as but not limited to: SQL, Python, etc. 3 years of experience working with JSON configuration files. 3 years of experience with cloud database development and cloud ELT with an understanding of Kimball methodology, medallion architecture, and modern lake house architecture. 2 years of experience working with Databricks delta lakes. Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment. Experience working with Azure cloud infrastructure and TERAFORM. Experience working with Azure Data Factory. Experience working with Application Architecture.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.  5-7 years of experience required.  Requires experience in designing and developing enterprise level applications, data extracts and interfaces using languages and technologies including but not limited to: Java, JEE, .NET, XML, JSP, ASP.net, IIS, COBOL, 4GL, HTML or SharePoint, ATG, Documentum, Search Engines as SOLR, Autonomy, Oracle, SQL Server, etc. Requires database experience such as but not limited to Oracle, SQL Server, etc.  Healthcare, health insurance and health providers experience and understanding of processes is desired.  Requires experience with enterprise integration tools such as Servicemix, Cloverleaf, HL7, etc.
