Information Systems Security Officer
We are seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team and oversee the security of our organization's information systems throughout the acquisition and engineering lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both cybersecurity and systems engineering, with the ability to integrate security requirements into complex technical programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement information security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with relevant regulations and industry best practices Collaborate with systems engineers and program managers to incorporate security controls and risk mitigation strategies into system designs and architectures Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans of information systems and networks Oversee security aspects of the systems development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through testing and deployment Evaluate and approve development efforts to ensure baseline security safeguards are appropriately installed Provide security expertise during the acquisition process, including developing security requirements for RFPs and evaluating vendor proposals Manage the implementation and testing of security controls for new and modified systems Develop and maintain system security plans, risk assessments, and other security documentation Investigate and respond to security incidents, coordinating with relevant stakeholders Stay current on emerging threats and security technologies relevant to our systems and programs
