The Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) division, is seeking a GPS IMOSC Alternate Information System Security Officer / Systems Administrator. This position will support the Global Positioning System (GPS) sustainment program located at Schriever Space Force Base about 10 miles east of Colorado Springs. GPS is a satellite-based radio-navigation system owned by the United States government and operated by the United States Space Force. GPS is the world's largest military satellite constellation and is the world's only global utility. GPS provides position, navigation, and timing data to military and civilian users globally with countless applications and an unlimited number of users.
The GPS IMOSC Alternate Information System Security Officer / Systems Administrator will be a part of a high-performing team that are immersed in high intensity projects. This employee will be responsible to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), information owner, and system owner for ensuring a proper security posture is in place. They must be capable of performing basic Systems Administrator tasks as well.
**Position Responsibilities:**
Tasks routinely performed by the Alternate ISSO include, but are not limited to:
+ Informal daily system review
+ Formal system review
+ SCAP updates and scanning
+ Nessus updates and scanning
+ Create Unclassified Cybersecurity Report
+ Create Classified Vulnerability Scan Report
+ Review of vulnerability releases
+ Review user account activity for compliance
+ Notify users of logon inactivity and training due
+ Maintain user training materials
+ Update User Account database
+ Review of POAMs
+ Maintain security artifacts
+ Review all software, hardware, and system change requests for security impact
+ Process user account request forms
+ Verify system backups
+ Create and verify offsite storage
+ Review Ports, Protocols, & Service (PPS)
+ Update the Boeing Logs, Certification, and Requirements (LCARS) system
+ Sanitize and dispose of old hardware
**Basic Qualification (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
+ Active U.S. security clearance; secret or above.
+ Current Security+ certification
+ Systems Administration and/or ISSO experience
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)**
+ Experience integrating cybersecurity solutions into information systems and its processes
+ Experience with Splunk Security tools

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range - Associate, Level 2: $81,600 - $110,400
Summary Pay Range - Experienced, Level 3: $97,750 - $132,250
