**Job Description:**
Perform Information System Security Manager (ISSM) core functions alongside intermediate-level information assurance staff officers at HQ 480th ISR Wing, Langley AFB, VA. This is a normal day shift position: no evenings, weekends, or holidays are required.
**_Primary Duties and Responsibilities:_**
+ Ensure the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for networks, systems, applications, and databases under their purview, as defined in the appointment letter.
+ Ensure the program is maintaining the appropriate operational security posture.
+ Oversee and validate all tasks accomplished by the DPA ISSO.
+ Implement the Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodology to successfully implement an information technology process that effectively protects the element's information assets and ability to perform its mission.
+ Function as a principal advisor on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of IS.
+ Ensure physical and environmental protection measures are coordinated with appropriate security officials.
+ Ensure Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requirements are met.
+ Ensure reporting data and IT security records are current and maintained in the system of record.
+ Attend required technical and security training (e.g., operating system, networking, security management) relative to assigned duties.
+ Report all security-related incidents as applicable to 480 ISRW security office, DOC Crew Commander, and COR.
+ Ensure changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware of a system accomplished by ISSOs are authorized by CCB and approved by the Designated Accreditation Officer (DAO) before the change.
+ Collaborate with the Program Managers, AF Intelligence Community Information Assurance Program Managers, ISSOs, and configuration managers to maintain an effective risk assessment process.
+ Ensure all available resources are monitored for warnings of system vulnerabilities or ongoing attacks.
+ Ensure periodic testing is conducted to evaluate the security posture of ISs by employing various intrusion and attack detection and monitoring tools (shared responsibility with ISSOs).
+ Plan and scheduled information systems security inspections, tests, and reviews, and reported findings to government lead(s).
+ Ensure data stewardship (confidentiality, integrity, and availability) is established for each IS, and specific requirements are enforced.
+ Implement an effective IS security education, training, and awareness program for personnel.
+ Ensure compliance with DoD 8570 requirements for IA personnel assigned to the Wing and Groups.
+ Function as a principal advisor on all matters, technical and otherwise, and support the development of policies and procedures for Wing and requirements, involving the security of IS.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
+ Current DoD 8570 IAM Levll II certification (must possess or be able to acquire within six months of hire at company's expense)
+ Six years of experience as an Information Assurance professional
+ Four years of experience in the Risk Management Framework Process
+ Experience using Xacta or eMASS
+ Experience using ACAS/NESSUS
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Associate's degree
+ Network architecture and data flow knowledge
+ Experience with the following tools: SCAP, Fortify
+ Familiar with AF DCGS IT systems and networks
**Education Requirements:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
**Physical and Environmental Conditions:**
+ Requires Sitting (66%), Standing (15%), Walking (15%), Near Acuity (100%), Speaking (100%), Listening (100%), Sight (100%), Use of fingers and hands (100%)
+ Travel 5% CONUS.
