DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will be responsible for supporting PID’s in-house applications by overseeing new development projects and maintenance jobs. This includes serving as the application development expert, administrator, or technical consultant on multidisciplinary teams; utilizing a variety of development tools and programing languages throughout all parts of the system development life cycle; and consulting with department program officials to determine technological solutions that would improve current operations, maximize the use of existing systems, or otherwise benefit the business. Our team will also rely on you to monitor the execution of applications testing and implementation plans as well as work with vendors to ensure that the proper knowledge transfer has occurred that will allow the seamless transfer of application support to Commonwealth staff. Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment + Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. + From time to time, this position will work an irregular schedule as part of a rotation to complete connectivity testing required by the Office of Administration + Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. One day per month in the office is required for full-time telework. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
