This position serves as SBI’s desktop and server Support administrator. The successful candidate will recommend, implement, execute and primarily support the hardware and systems software for the systems servers at SBI, emphasizing overall service, availability, and system security. The position will also serve as the main security administrator and will work closely with SBI IT Management to evaluate and implement the security policies and alleviate the concerns raised therein. It will also act as the Champion of SBI’s Patch Management initiative to ensure SBI’s IT systems are patched and secure. **Minimum Qualifications** + 3 years of professional level experience in a network environment. A MA degree in Information Technology or a related field may substitute for 18 months of experience, related Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 1 year, or related Associate's degree may substitute for 6 months. **Work experience must include the following:** + Knowledge and skill working in a Windows environment using office support products such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint + Knowledge and skill working within a Microsoft environment + Demonstrated experience performing hands-on work to install, integrate, test, debug, and certify components of a technology infrastructure + Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining automation scripts using programs such as PowerShell + Ability to write and follow procedures and processes + Ability to discern the nature of a malfunction (hardware versus software), pinpoint the cause using system management and diagnostic software tools and, using good judgment based on fact, to correct the problem in a timely manner. + Strong oral and written communication skills to communicate with the business and IT system experts during problem solving, decision making, documentation and reporting. + Experience troubleshooting AV equipment for presentations with Teams, Zoom, etc **Preferred Qualifications** + Advanced knowledge in a wide array of technology and architectures including operating systems (Microsoft, VMware,), LAN/WAN and wireless networking, TCP/IP, directory structures (LDAP, Active Directory), identity management and provisioning, middleware, firewalls, remote access, SAN, iSCSI, and host/client security concerns + A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field. + Demonstrated experience in project management, using project management principles and practices. + Cybersecurity experience. **Additional Requirements** It is the policy of the Retirement Systems of MN that all employees submit to a background investigation prior to employment.
