Responsibilities You will apply knowledge in data management concepts, principles, and methods sufficient to evaluate effectiveness of systems, develop and design programs, and conduct performance-testing activities to optimize processes. You will trouble shoot and resolve Information Technology (IT) technical problems and work with incomplete and conflicting data; plan and refine the methods and techniques being used in accordance with established criteria. You will apply IT concepts, principles, methods and practices sufficient to assist internal and external customers regarding a variety of IT issues. You will monitor and evaluate systems' compliance with Information Technology (IT) security requirements and policies. You will analyze data to troubleshoot problems, evaluate established methods and procedures, and perform other analytical functions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Applying knowledge and skill to disseminating IT Security tools to protect information assets and ensure compliance with security requirements. 2. Analyzing data to troubleshoot problems, evaluates established methods and procedures, and performs other similar analytical functions. 3. Monitoring and applying changes in upper level policy, regulations, and directives sufficient to provide recommendations on the potential impact on IT organizational policies. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree, or Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
